About the Item
This authentic 1920s Art Deco ring by Belais features seven bright Old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.5 carats, framed by four natural calibré-cut blue sapphires. Crafted in solid 18K white gold with crisp filigree and milgrain detail, it’s a beautifully preserved example of early American white-gold craftsmanship.
A standout example of early 18K white gold by Belais, this 1920s Art Deco ring showcases the maker’s renowned craftsmanship in filigree, milgrain, and geometric design. The elongated shield form features seven Old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.5 carats. The diamonds display bright H–I color and vintage VS2–SI1 clarity, with the lively broad flashes that distinguish well-cut OECs from the period.
Four natural calibré-cut blue sapphires frame the central diamond row, each approximately 2 mm and estimated at a combined 0.20–0.24 carats. Their crisp square geometry provides elegant contrast and enhances the ring’s classic Deco silhouette. All stones appear original to the setting, and the filigree remains remarkably sharp with no thinning or collapse.
Marked 18K with the Belais hallmark, a highly sought-after stamp from one of the first and most respected American producers of white gold.
