About the Item
Antique Georgian Navette Shaped Ring set with Garnets and Single Cut Diamonds c1800. The yellow gold setting is unmarked and tests 14KT. A classic Georgian "navette" shaped ring refers to an elongated, boat-like silhouette that tapers to points at both ends. The term navette means "little boat" in French. Ladies in the late 18thc loved the shape as it made the finger appear to be longer and more beautiful.
