Antique German Art Nouveau Amethyst Ring
Pforzheim, Germany — circa 1900–1914
Dated early 20th-century Art Nouveau ring crafted in 14ct gold,
featuring a vibrant radiant cut amethyst of rich purple tone.
The stone is set within an ornate foliate mount, decorated with finely hand- engraved leaves and floral motifs typical of the Jugendstil movement.
The shoulders display beautifully detailed flowers and flowing botanical forms, showcasing the craftsmanship associated with Pforzheim workshops of the period.
Inside the band are two original hallmarks:
A pictorial oval workshop symbol resembling a seed pod or leaf
A maker’s mark “CZ”, characteristic of small independent Pforzheim goldsmiths working before hallmark standardisation
Weight approximately 3 grams including stone.
