About the Item
Art Deco Onyx Ring
Platinum
Circa 1920s
This stunning art deco cocktail ring features alternating bands of old-cut diamonds and onyx. The rose-cut diamonds are set in seven alternating vertical bands. The top and bottom of the ring are adorned with rub-over-set diamonds, creating a rounded edge that contrasts with the straight bands in the centre. The total diamond weight is 0.70 carats, and the diamonds are H to I in colour and SI clarity. The gems are exquisitely placed in platinum and would have been handcrafted by a highly skilled jeweller.
The face of the ring measures approximately 16.3mm in width and 10.5mm in height with the reeded band measuring 1.8mm in width.
