About the Item
Old gold ring of the "Toi et Moi" type with a diamond and a sapphire, girdled with a ribbon of diamonds. The name "toi et moi" refers to the characteristic setting of the stones used next to each other, which were to symbolize intertwined souls merging into one. A popular motif of an engagement ring at the beginning of the 20th century.
Ring made of 14-karat yellow gold (0.580 fineness) and elements of 0.990 fineness silver.
Origin: Austro-Hungarian Empire, beginning of the 20th century. ( hallmark preserved )
Its sophisticated, Art Nouveau form is decorated with a diamond in an "old" brilliant cut weighing approx. 0.75 ct. (M-N color, SI2 clarity). On the opposite side of the diamond, a beautiful blue sapphire in a cabochon cut weighing approx. 1.30 ct. is set. Additionally decorated with 13 diamonds in an "old" brilliant cut weighing approx. 0.35 ct
Total diamond weight: 1.10 ct.
Size: 16 (EU 56) - ask about the possibility of size correction.
Very good condition, no damage.
