Indulge in a stunning Black Opal Antique Art Deco ring with a gorgeous 13.5 Carat Black Opal with radiant fire set in a 14 Karat Gold setting of great beauty. The spectacular oval opal flat cut gem is 28mm long, over an inch, and it has some of the most vivid blue and green fire you have ever seen. It is absolutely wonderful! The opal is a single opal and not a doublet. The opal is a large opal which is polished on the top of the gem to the flat cabochon cut. The edge of the polished opal is slightly uneven on one edge. There is no damage to the opal. The designer used the natural edge of the opal in the design of the ring.
The black opal is just gorgeous and the colors are even more vivid in person. The combination of the radiant blue and green fire of the opal contrasting with the warmth of the gold creates a magical ring. The original Art Deco jewel dates to circa 1890-1930. The ring is a gorgeous and rare opal jewel and a fabulous wedding or engagement ring, cocktail ring or a dramatic everyday treasure! The ring is a delight to be worn and to be passed on for generations.
