ART DECO 1.57ct center Old European Diamond Platinum Engagement Ring Appraisal
This is an exquisite piece of original Art Deco platinum jewelry circa 1920s. The glorious center Old European cut diamond looks fantastic set presiding on top of a gorgeous mounting. It is on fire! This gem will blind you and is estimated to be 1.57 carat of VS-2 in clarity and I in color. Please see appraisal posted. It is a very tall diamond, it carries most of its weight on top, hence the brilliance is just magical. There are 4 small round old European cut very tall diamonds set at each corner (additional .16ct). These small diamonds are VS-2, G. Therefore, grand total diamond weight is 1.73 carats. The square mounting is embellished with intricate etching and crisp mil-grain detailing. Gorgeous!! The presentation measures 11.2mm (almost 1/2") square and the center diamond is raised 5mm high. Size 6 finger (easily sizable), the weight is 4.62 grams of platinum.
