About the Item
An Art Deco diamond, pearl, and white gold ring, comprising one large old European cut diamond, sixteen smaller old European cut diamonds, and six rose cut diamonds, set in 18 karat white gold, to a band of 18 karat white gold.
This stunning Art Deco ring is set to the centre with a gorgeous old European cut diamond. The old European cut diamond, which is wonderfully sparkly, bright, white, and has good colour and clarity, is held within a millegrain edged bezel setting. The principal diamond appears to float at the centre of a diamond shaped panel, set with 2 glittering rose cut diamonds. To the north and south of the central diamond are pale, shimmering pearls, with beautiful lustre. The pearls are crowned with sparkling old cut diamonds, arranged in a fan shape, created with elegant openwork. Further old cut and rose cut diamonds adorn the ring, surrounded by millegrain details and accentuating the gorgeous Art Deco geometric design. Diamond accented shoulders lead to a band of plain, polished white gold. The ring is in great condition, with minimal wear to the pearls. The shank appears to have been replaced, and had a piece inserted onto the band to make the ring fit smaller. The principal diamond has a small inclusion to one side of the stone, which is not noticeable when on the hand. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 27mm high, and 16.7mm wide. The band measures 1mm wide at the back.
