About the Item

An art deco platinum ring with a large diamond and rubies. This is a fabulous antique cocktail ring, created in America during the art deco period, between the 1925 and 1930. This beautiful ring is a classic masterfully crafted with an octagonal shape in solid .900/.999 platinum with high polished finish. The ring is mount with a great selection of twenty-one natural earth mined gemstones, such; European cut diamonds and vivid red rubies. The settings of the gemstones are finished with millegrain patterns. The ring is fantastic, extremely well made and the main diamond is clean and well cut with great proportions. The rubies were specially calibre cut for this ring and are completely aligned with no gaps in between. Diamond: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 European round cut diamond of 1.50 carats, white colorless F/G color, very clean VS/SI clarity. Diamonds: Mount at the sides in flush settings, with 8 European round cut diamonds, 0.32 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity. Rubies: Mount around the center diamond, in a channel setting, with 12 French calibre cut of natural vivid red rubies, with a total weight of about 1.90 carats. Birthstone: Rubies for the month of July. Weight: 5.90 Grams, (3.66 Dwt). Size: 7 and may be easily resized up or down on special request. Measurements: 20 mm by 14 mm (0.79 x 0.59 Inches) and raise 6.5 mm over the finger. Hallmarks: Electronically tested for platinum, stamped with the mark for the assay and warranty of the platinum, engraved with the weight of the center diamond and signed as follows, "PLAT 1.50". The Millegrain Finish This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry. Collateral: This art deco octagonal ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Collateral: This ring is accompanied by an appraisal report prepared by a GIA certified gemologist, stating all the characteristics of this ring and the gemstones mounted in the platinum setting. The certificate state the present market value of the ring. Condition: The overall condition of this art deco octagonal ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 21 gemstones are secured in the settings. This ring was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
