An American art deco ring with diamonds
sapphires.
This is a outstanding antique cocktail ring created in America during the Art-deco period, back in the 1925. The beautiful ring is gorgeous, clearly scream art deco and was masterfully hand-crafted in solid .900/.999 platinum with polished finish. It is embellished in the center with one gorgeous large European cut round diamond, which is surrounded by great selection of sixty-two earth mined natural gemstones, such; calibre-cuts vivid blue sapphires and white colorless diamonds. The ring is designed with a symmetric geometric shape and the gemstones settings are finished with the iconic millegrain patterns from the period.
Diamond: Mount in the center in a millegrain round bezel settings, with 1 European round cut diamonds, 1.55 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Diamonds: Mount at the sides in millegrain flush pave settings, with 56 graduated European round cut diamonds, 1.38 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Sapphires: Mount north to south in channel millegrain settings, with 6 graduated French calibre scissors cut of natural blue sapphires, with a weight of about 0.72 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 8.10 Grams, (5.20 Dwt).
Size: 7.25 and may be easily sized up or down on special request.
Measurements: 28 mm by 22 mm (0.71 x 0.83 Inches) and raise 7 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: The ring was electronically tested for .900/.999 platinum and is stamped with the exact weight of the central diamond and the minor diamonds around, as follows; "PLAT C-1.55 / 1.38".
Millegrain
This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
Collateral: This American Art-Deco cocktail ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this Art-Deco ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 63 gemstones are secured in the settings. This ring was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
