This is a gorgeous early antique Victorian - Art Deco Bohemian Garnet Ring with a stunning rectangular faceted blood red garnet surrounded by a halo of round garnets. The garnets are set in silver gilt as was the custom of the period. The ring shank is 10 Karat Gold. The central Garnet is an exquisite blood red color and is 10mm by 8mm. A halo of 18 fabulous round faceted garnets surrounds the center gem.
The ring is an early ring dating to circa 1840-1900.
The blood red garnets create a passionate romantic jewel.
Garnet signifies protection, friendship, trust, commitment, and love. Garnet is also said to keep the wearer safe during travel.
The central garnet is 10mm by 8mm.
The top of the ring is 14mm by 12mm.
The ring is currently a size 6.5 US and can be easily resized if desired.
