About the Item
An exquisite amethyst ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Made of 14kt yellow gold, this fabulous piece holds a large, faceted, oval shaped amethyst stone at its center. The bezel set stone has a faceted face and back and exhibits a vibrant, purple color. Surrounding the stone is a twisted yellow gold wire frame along with a natural seed pearl border and a colorful enameled frame encircles the entire piece. The green and black enameled design is absoultey wonderful, completing the striking Deco design perfectly. The shank is stamped "14K". This fabulous Art Deco ring would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
The rings oval shaped setting, including the seed pearl and enameled border, measures 1" at its widest point, 1 1/4" tall and when worn, rests 5/8" atop the finger. It has a finger size 7 but could easily be resized.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting or to the amethyst stone and all of the pearls are intact. There is only very minor surface wear to the enameling.
