About the Item
Wonderful, large Art Deco Lapis and Turquoise Cocktail Ring from the late 1930's. A large toggle shaped natural matrix turquoise is set into calibre cut lapis lazuli shoulders with a large cabochon lapis pear shaped stone at each terminal.
The high style combination of turquoise with the deeper lapis lazuli is extremely unusual and attractive. 1930's USA.
Unsigned, but, yet of extremely high quality. This is Egyptian Revival ring is featured in several Art Deco jewelry books but is unattributed.
Elizabeth Taylor also had this ring in a different color variant in the sale of her collection at Christies NY.
