Art Deco sapphire ring with diamond set centre. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.35 carats, within an oval old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.00 carats, to an elegant oval form featuring curving triple claws, millegrain edging, a pierced gallery and open backholing, the slightly raised tapering shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920.
