About the Item

Boucheron Mid-Century Diamond Cocktail Ring in 18 Karat White Gold, French, circa 1950s–1960s. A masterful interpretation of floral abstraction in diamonds and white gold. The composition evokes the elegance of a stylized bloom captured at the height of its beauty—radiant, sculptural, and eternally in motion. At its heart, a transitional round brilliant-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.61 carats is set in six claws, its soft fire and vintage faceting lending warmth and romantic charm. Surrounding the center stone are four round brilliant-cut and three marquise-cut diamonds, arranged asymmetrically across tiered planes. This dynamic, almost kinetic setting gives the piece a sense of living dimensionality—like a flower turning gently toward the light. Elegant yet exuberant, this ring speaks to the post-war optimism of mid-century Paris, when maisons like Boucheron reimagined natural motifs with bold geometry and technical finesse. GEMSTONES • Main Diamond: Transitional round brilliant-cut; estimated 1.61ct; H/I color; SI2 clarity (all assessed) • Other Diamonds: Four round brilliant-cut (approx. 0.40 carats total) and 3 marquise brilliant-cut (approx. 0.65 carats total) DETAILS • Finger size: EU 47 (resizable) • Weight: 4.91g • Marks: French hallmark for 18kt gold; partial maker's mark "B", attributed to Boucheron NOTES All items are presented in very good condition, with surface wear and age-related marks consistent with their antique or vintage nature. All jewels—whether signed or unsigned—are offered as worn, reflecting their history and authenticity. Unless otherwise specified, all weights, assessments, and attributions are based on standard gemmological practices and mounting allowances. Variations may occur when cross-referenced with third-party valuations. Colors may differ slightly between screen and natural lighting.
