A mid-century sculptural ring designed by Haroldo Burle Marx.
This is an iconic forma livre cocktail ring created in Brazil by the artist-jeweler Haroldo Burle Marx during the mid-century period, back in the 1960's. This is one of the very early examples of the forma livre collection carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with Florentine etched finish. This ring is a piece of wearable art and a very nice example of the Brazilian concretism art. Have an obvious collaboration between three big names of the Brazilian arts; Haroldo Burle Marx (1911-1991) the designer and jeweler with galleries in Brazil and Washington DC., Bruno Guidi the master chief goldsmith and lead designer of Burle Marx and finally Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994), Haroldo's brother, designer and a landscape architect.

Amazonite: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 free-form (Forma Livre) cabochon cut carved from natural Brazilian green amazonite jade, with an estimate weight of about 35 carats.
Birthstone: Amazonite for the month of August.
Weight: 18.95 grams (12.15 Dwt,).
Size: Actually is size 5.5 and may be resized up or down on special request.
Measurements: 22 mm by 29 mm (0.87 by 1.14 Inches) and raise 18 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt yellow and signed as follows, "BURLE MARX 750".
Collateral: This Burle Marx cocktail ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this Burle Marx cocktail ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The amazonite gemstone is secured in the settings. This ring was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
