Lawrence Jeffrey Alchemy Collection. Morphing from a crescent moon and star to a natural aesthetic shell and sea wrack motif, this ring is stunning. Center stage is a luminescent 8.0 carat ruby, surrounded by spectacularly colorful opals and brilliant tiny full-cut antique diamonds. The design is anchored by a three quarter carat white diamond. Inside the shell is a pearl, a little secret. Each piece in the collection is one-of-a-kind. Excellent condition. Remarks From Lawrence Jeffrey: "One of our best efforts, the designer had a vision of a peacocks tail, but as the piece took shape it became a sea shell with a sea wrack band. The look finds inspiration from Mogul pieces as well." Alchemy by Lawrence Jeffrey is a transformative collection of dazzling new jewels created from a distillation of venerable fragments, rare gemstones and inspired design. Origins: The antique element in this ring is a crescent moon and star motif Moresque taste brooch. Years ago I asked my master stone setter to take this brooch apart as the stones are beautifully matched and of exceptional quality. He said "No." "No, I asked, "What do you mean?" So he patiently schooled me. " This is a superbly made piece of jewelry with subtle setting work that even I would be hard to reproduce, you cannot disassemble a masterpiece. Someday you will fine a way to use it." He was right and I was wrong. I am fortunate to be associated with such visionary talent.
