Possessing the remarkable ability to change color under different light conditions, the spinel at the center of this ring is an exceptional rarity in the world of colored gemstones. Color-change spinels weighing over one carat are very rarely found, and this example totals a remarkable 5.97 carats. The oval brilliant cut gem displays a deep blue hue when viewed in daylight and an equally stunning deep purple when viewed in incandescent light, and it is graded as entirely untreated by the accompanying GIA report. The spinel is encircled by a diamond halo totaling 0.56 carat and set in classic 18K white gold.
