Indulge in a superb museum quality Victorian - Belle Epoque hand carved Agate Intaglio Ring depicting an image of the god of love, Cupid or Eros and set in a beautiful and elegant setting in 10 Karat Yellow Gold. The ring dates to circa 1850-1880. It is very rare to find carved hard stone agate rings as carving the hard stone requires superb artisans. The ring features the most beautifully hand carved intaglio of the Greek God Eros, known as Cupid to the Romans, with his fabulous face, wings and flower garland. The carving is absolutely magnificent and the image is just stunning and so romantic and celebratory. The agate is a stunningly beautiful color. The setting is particularly beautiful and the ring is substantial 10 Karat Gold.
Antique hand carved intaglio rings are all the rage today and to find them in hard stone agate and with Cupid or Eros is extremely rare. The jewels are the inspiration for the work of Elizabeth Locke and here you have the opportunity to acquire the true antique gem. The ring is a treasure to wear and to be passed on for generations.
