About the Item
Beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted ring by Edward Oakes. Centrally set with a lively brilliant lemon color citrine upon a gallery of floral designs and the signature oak leaves leading down to a shank of a double band of polished gold.
Edward Oakes started his career in Massachusetts in 1917 manufacturing only one of a kind hand made pieces of jewelry. Oakes embellished his jewelry with gemstones such as citrines, aquamarines, peridot and amethysts. He used slightly greenish colored gold to give his pieces their distinct look and although some of his pieces are signed Oakes, most of them are recognizable by the oak leaves which he always incorporated in every piece he designed.
A true collectable and most wearable piece of historic jewelry.
