About the Item
The Paraiba Tourmaline is the rarest gemstone in the jewelry world today. It is a copper-bearing tourmaline with the element turning it a wonderful shade of tropical blue. This fantastic ring was handmade by a family jeweler outside of Florence, Italy. The cabochon-cut tourmaline was hand-selected for this piece making it one-of-a-kind. It features scalloped detailing along the bezel and rich, silk lines carved individually into the shank. Set in solid, 18-karat yellow gold is one Paraiba Tourmaline measuring 2.59 carats. Twelve, round, full-cut diamonds adorn the shoulders for a total weight of .06 carats. The melee is VS in clarity and D-F in color. The ring is a size 6.5 with the shank edges beveling inwards for comfortable wear.
