A rubber free form ring designed by Gaetano Pesce (1939-2024)
This is a very elusive sculptural ring created in Milano Italy by the architect Gaetano Pesce. The avant garde ring has been crafted in black and green rubber. Gaetano Pesce is known for his innovative use of materials, particularly rubber and resin, and his playful, often unconventional designs. His work, like the UP Series chairs and various jewelry pieces, explores the interplay between form, function, and human emotion. Pesce's rubber and resin pieces often feature a free-form, almost organic aesthetic, achieved through experimentation and a collaborative approach with the materials themselves.
Gaetano Pesce
He was an Italian architect and a design pioneer of the 20th century. Pesce was born in La Spezia in 1939, and he grew up in Padua and Florence. During his 50-year career, Pesce worked as an architect, urban planner, and industrial designer. His outlook is considered broad and humanistic, and his work is characterized by an inventive use of color and materials, asserting connections between the individual and society, through art, architecture, and design to reappraise mid-twentieth-century modern life

This marvelous piece is composed by three elements, attached all together from the back, with two screws. The main focus element is a big disc, carved from natural black onyx with a weight of about 70 carats. This ring is accented on top, with an abstracted free-form element, that float and emerge.
Have a total weight of 30.6 Grams and the actual size is 7.25, is sizeable.
The top view diameter is 38 mm (1.49 inches) and raise 16 mm over the finger.
Engraved, with the artist's signature, "G. FACCHINI 2012" and stamped with the Italian control assay hallmark, ".750".
