Modern cocktail ring with a large kunzite.
Gorgeous oversized modernist ring, crafted in Italy in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. This ring was designed as a solitaire with sleek contemporary patterns and the mounting was specially made to hold an oversized natural purple kunzite of 52 carats.
Kunzite
This gemstone is a variant of the mineral Spodumen. Kunzite was discovered in 1902, and was named after Tiffany
Co. main jeweler, George Frederick Kunz. It most often occurs in shades of light pink, but more vivid colors are possible and can reach rare shades of vivid purple to violet. The clear Kunzite gemstone is labeled spodumene and comes in a natural opaque form. It is expensive and known for its transparent and pale to clear crystalline structure. These stones are sometimes found in light yellow shades; therefore, it is also called yellow kunzite stone. Strongly coloured kunzite is rare and thus correspondingly valuable. This gemstone is the youngest member of the Spodumen family, to which the green or yellowish-green hiddenite, discovered about a quarter of a century earlier, also belongs.
Kunzite: Mount in double four-prongs setting, with 1 checkerboard faceted cut (24 x 22 x 16 mm) of a natural vivid pink kunzite of 52.08 carats.
Birthstone: Kunzite for the month of September.
Weight: 19.4 Grams, (12.54 Dwt).
Size: 6.25 and may be sized on request.
Measurements: 24 mm by 22 mm (0.95 x 0.87 Inches) and raise 16 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "14KT SS".
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a certificate appraisal prepared by a GIA certified gemologist stating the characteristics of this ring and the kunzite gemstone.

Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The kunzite is secured in the settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
