About the Item
A rare cocktail ring designed by Kaunis Koru.
This statement geometric ring is a vintage piece made in 1973 by the Scandinavian designer Kaunis Koru. It was crafted in solid 14 karats yellow gold, with quite substantial in size and appearance, framing a unique pair of Smokey quartz. Both gemstones are cut with a rectangle shape (21 x 8 x 6mm) and they have a combined weight of about 16 carats, they are transparent, very clear and with great saturation.
Has a total weight of 12.3 grams and the actual size is 6.5, sizeable. The top view measures are 21.5 mm by 22 mm and raise 11 mm over the finger.
It is stamped, with the artist maker's mark, the Finnish crown assay control hallmarks, the production year U7 (1973), and signed, "KK .585 U7 VMB"
Kaunis Koru, is a jewelry manufacturers located in Helsinki, Finland. They specialized in contemporary jewels, created by a number of different artists whose names were always acknowledged. Their maker's mark appearing alongside that of Kaunis Koru are the initial of their names. The firm favored silver in combination with inexpensive gemstones and hard stones, set in simple but striking forms. In 1989 the firm was acquired by Kalevala koru oy.
It is in great vintage condition.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.

This marvelous piece is composed by three elements, attached all together from the back, with two screws. The main focus element is a big disc, carved from natural black onyx with a weight of about 70 carats. This ring is accented on top, with an abstracted free-form element, that float and emerge.
Have a total weight of 30.6 Grams and the actual size is 7.25, is sizeable.
The top view diameter is 38 mm (1.49 inches) and raise 16 mm over the finger.
Engraved, with the artist's signature, "G. FACCHINI 2012" and stamped with the Italian control assay hallmark, ".750".
