About the Item
A mid-century sapphire and diamond tank ring, the octagonal-shaped step-cut sapphire weighing 5.09 carats accompanied by GCS report stating to be of Madagascan origin, claw-set between two semi-cylindrical raised sections each channel-set with two baguette-cut diamonds, all within two rows of seven round brilliant-cut diamonds on each side, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1½ carats in total, all set in platinum mount, to tapering shoulders and wide hollow shank, finger size I ½ , circa 1950, the head measuring 2.1x1.3cm, gross weight 12.5 grams.
This vintage ring is in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested as platinum.
