Geometric cocktail ring designed by Monica Coscioni.
This beautiful contemporary ring was designed at the atelier of the jewelry designer Monica Coscioni. She is located in the city of Orvieto, close to Rome. This ultra modernism ring was crafted in solid white gold of 18 karat with the surfaces finished, with very high polish.
Sapphires: Mount in the middle in with a V channel setting, with 8 graduated European round rose cuts of natural white sapphires, with a combined weight of 3.65 carats. The gemstones are loupe clean and transparent.
Weight: 37.6 grams, (24.10 Dwt).
Size: 7.75, sizeable.
Measures: From the top is 13 mm x 32 mm (0.51 x 1.26 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the Italian assay control mark and signed, "MC.750 *87AL".
About Monica Coscioni
My name is Monica. I live and work in Orvieto, where I was born. From the beauty of the places that surround me I draw the destination for art and creativity. From classical studies, the love for the origin and the plasticity of the forms. I have been creating jewels for over thirty years but I keep the traits of a little girl alive: I play, invent, create, amaze. I attended the "workshop" of a well-known Tuscan goldsmith and sculptor for six years but the real training was the direct experience in my atelier until today. From my character, the challenge to the craft of craftsman: to create a revolutionary collection, that is capable of creating a precious object because it is beautiful, refined, unique and particular, dreamlike and narrative, separated from its material value. I had the "vision" of my home-workshop by visiting one of the most important historic buildings in Orvieto, Palazzo Manassei and now it is a place of magic and creation. Here I abandon myself to the delirium of creation: I experiment, shape, melt the metal then forge it, I get dirty, my nails break under the file but I don't care, the only thing I long for is the moment when the object will be finished, I'm not afraid of the journey. From my dreams: the desire to generate jewels capable of communicating even the incommunicable, as a hymn to life, a wish for evergreen fullness, as a very powerful talisman of love, hope and joy
Note: Gold pieces from Monica Coscioni are very rare to see and not seldom produced since the main design and production are in solid sterling silver.
Note: The retail price of this ring, back in the 2016 was 13,900 euros.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
