About the Item
Grey moonstone cabochon ring in grey titanium and 18k 750 white gold featuring a sculptural contemporary MXHM design with a natural gemstone and matte layered contours. The piece is from the archive collection which is inspired by Maximilian's grandfather Rene Sim Lacaze, the former head designer of Van Cleef
Arpels.
This MXHM titanium ring features a grey moonstone cabochon of 4.69 carats, set in grey color-treated titanium with a soft matte finish. The inside of the ring is made from 18k 750 white gold. The ring’s sculptural, stepped silhouette is characteristic of MXHM’s contemporary titanium work, creating an architectural frame that draws the eye toward the luminous center stone. The moonstone was chosen for its subtle smoky-grey hue, gentle translucency and refined cabochon polish, producing a harmonious dialogue between mineral softness and metallic precision. The result is a modern, tactile and quietly expressive piece that highlights clarity of form, depth of color and the unique aesthetic language of MXHM.
DESIGNER
MXHM is led by Maximilian Hemmerle, who unites two exceptional artistic lineages. Maternally, he carries the Parisian design heritage of his grandfather René Sim Lacaze, the former head designer of Van Cleef and Arpels, who inspires much of MXHM’s contemporary work. Paternally, he descends from a family of master jewelers who served as royal court suppliers to the Bavarian monarchy. This dual heritage — Parisian refinement and Bavarian craftsmanship — shapes the identity of MXHM and informs the precision, material excellence and artistic ambition of every creation.
