About the Item
A cocktail ring designed by Nardi.
This is a very rare vintage ring created in Venice Italy by the iconic and exclusive Venetian jewelry house of Nardi. This unique and one-of-a-kind cocktail ring has been carefully crafted in the shape of a Moorish turban in solid yellow gold and patinated white gold of 18 karats with textured and polished finishes. It is embellished with a great assortment of ten very high-quality gemstones, such vivid red rubies and a blue lapis lazuli. The craftsmanship is exceptional as this jewelry house is distinguished.
Country: Venice, Italy.
Period: 1970, baroque revival.
Lapis lazuli: Mount on top by a screw setting, with 1 round cabochon cut of 8 mm carved from natural blue lapis lazuli.
Rubies: Mount in a flush setting, with 9 round brilliant cut of natural vivid red rubies with a total weight of about 0.90 carats.
Birthstone: Rubies for the month of July and lapis lazuli for September.
Weight: 15.60 Grams (10.08 Dwt).
Size: Actually is 7 and may be resized up or down on special request.
Measurements: From the top view is 20 mm by 20 mm (0.79 x 0.79 Inches) and raise 17mm over the finger
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the Italian mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt yellow gold and signed in full as follows, "NARDI .750 *305VE".
Nardi
The company is a jewelry that was founded in Venice, Italy by Giulio Nardi (1897-1976) in 1926. The recent founded firm opened a workshop at the # 69 in St. Marks square. His son Sergio Nardi joins the family venture in the 1940 and his grandson Alberto Nardi are still running the firm. Today the business remains at the same original location, always offering one of a kind and exclusive jewels.
