Sculptural modernist cocktail ring designed by Octavio Sarda Palau.
This is a fabulous cocktail ring, created in Barcelona Spain by the artist goldsmith Octavio Sarda Palau, back in the 1980. This modernist ring is very unusual and has been carefully crafted in three dimensions in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured and polished finishes, which create a great contrast in the surfaces. The design of the ring is very organic, like an winged sculpture and is embellished with an ovoid shaped lapis lazuli that looks floating around.
Lapis lazuli: Mounted in a tension setting, with 1 ovoid cabochon cut (15 x 13 x 13 mm) of a natural Afghani blue lapis lazuli of about 12 carats.
Birthstone: Lapis lazuli or the month of September.
Weight: 22.75 Grams, (14.58 Dwt).
Size: 7.5 and can be sized on special request.
Measurements: 35 mm by 19.5 mm (1.38 x 0.78 Inches) and raise 13 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark associated to Octavio Sarda Palau, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "REGISTRADO 18K".
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The lapis lazuli is secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
