Marquise Emerald Ruby Snake Ring – Sterling Silver by J DAUPHIN
A sculptural sterling-silver serpent ring by J Dauphin, designed with a marquise-cut emerald at the head and natural ruby eyes. The coiled silhouette follows the traditional form of Victorian serpent jewelry while remaining precise, contemporary, and grounded in material clarity. Adjustable from US size 5 to 8, the ring is hand-formed and individually finished.
In the Gypsy Wisdom collection, the serpent is treated as a symbol of ongoing renewal and the continuity of inner movement. Its coiling line reflects the cycle of release and regeneration long associated with serpent motifs across ancient and Victorian design traditions.
The marquise emerald emphasizes themes of growth and discernment, while ruby eyes introduce a sharper note of vitality. Together, they anchor the ring’s dual nature—instinctive, protective, and quietly directional.

The founder of the brand, Johanna Dauphin grew up between Sweden and France, in her mid 20s Dauphin left to Rome to study design and then she started her professional career working as a designer for the fashion group Tod’s and then later at the LVMH owned FENDI. J Dauphin has made special collaborations with exclusive department stores and boutiques such as Bergdorf Goodman, Harvey Nichols, Lane Crawford, United Arrow, Matches and Bon Marche. Multiple awarded and nominated as the designer of the year by Swedish Elle And Premium Exhibition in Berlin. J Dauphin was relaunched in 2018 and is now working to create awareness and educate towards sustainable principle in order to promote change within the fashion industry. Her long term vision creating high quality products that shall endure for a long time, zero plastic principles, recycling and repair, Local production, We work with artisans and small factories using old school artisanal methods. We know every person that worked on our items. Our prices reflect what it cost to make products in LA, when supply and demand is in balance, you get fair pricing. We are not any longer doing any platings, or white gold in order to be more sustainable.

White Diamond Marquise Emerald Ruby Snake Ring by J DAUPHIN, part of the “Eternal Renewal” collection.
This sculptural serpent ring is crafted in gold-plated brass, featuring one marquise white diamond, two emeralds, and two rubies. A symbolic Victorian-style cocktail ring inspired by ancient serpent mythology, the ouroboros, and spiritual transformation.
The serpent, one of the oldest symbolic forms in human history, carries meanings of fertility, creative life force, renewal, and healing. Because the snake sheds its skin, it has long been seen as an emblem of rebirth, personal transformation, immortality, and spiritual evolution. In Victorian jewelry, serpent rings were worn as tokens of eternal love, protection, and continuous renewal.
The ouroboros, the snake forming a continuous circle, expresses the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. In alchemy it represents the endless return; in Jungian psychology, it reflects the archetypal self and the inner source of creation. Jung viewed the ouroboros as a symbol of the psyche’s wholeness and the ever-present power of the “God within.”
This piece reflects the same idea of continuous transformation. The combination of gemstones enhances the theme:
White Diamond for clarity and higher truth,
Emerald for insight and spiritual renewal,
Ruby for vitality and inner fire.
