Circa 1960s, 18k, by Paul Binder, Zurich, Switzerland. This sleek one-of-a-kind modernist jewel is an architectural delight. Combining smooth curves with sharp lines and phenomenal gemstones, it shows us the power of mid-century jewelry design... Zurich style! A 3.07-carat delicately-hued green tourmaline is the visual drama and 2.80 carats of fine white diamonds (G color, VS clarity) close the deal. Known for high design and superb quality, Binder was widely regarded as the finest Swiss goldsmith of his generation. This ring is beautifully handmade and in excellent condition.
