A French bombe cocktail ring with gemstones designed by Pery Et Fils
This is a very beautiful classic cocktail ring, created in Paris France, back in the late 20th century. The ring has been crafted at the Pery Et Fils company, as dome in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with a very fine assortment of eighty-nine natural earth mined gemstones such: white colorless diamonds and vivid blue sapphires.
Diamonds: Mount in a French pave setting, with 80 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 2.40 carats, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity.
Sapphire: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (8 x 7 x 6 mm) of a natural vivid blue sapphire of about 3.62 carats.
Sapphires: Mount around in bezel settings, with 8 calibrated round cabochon cuts (3 x 3 x 2 mm) of natural vivid blue sapphires with an estimate weight of about 1.20 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 16.85 Grams, (10.80 Dwt).
Size: 7.75 and can be sized on special request.
Measurements: 26 mm by 17 mm (1.02 x 0.67 Inches) and raise 10 mm over the finger,
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the maker's mark associated to Pery Et Fils and the mark of the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold.
Pery Et Fils
This company traces its roots back to 1875 when Monsieur Lucien Péry decided to expand his glove making company by diversifying into jewelry, beginning by making gold chains. At the beginning of the 20th Century he was joined in the firm by his son Albert who would go on to forge collaborative relationships with many of the prestigious Maisons of the Place Vendôme. Alongside Boucheron and Chaumet, one of the most significant of these was Van Cleef
Arpels. Albert was introduced to the Arpels brothers and soon after began producing jewelry for the firm, with the archives showing that the first piece, a gold bracelet, was made in 1925. Albert soon became friendly with Renée Puissant, the daughter of Esther Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef and this connection strengthened the association between the two companies. Péry et Cie were responsible for making the famous ‘passe-partout’ jewels for VCA (they made over 260 pieces for this collection) and these wonderful floral pieces are said to have inspired Renée to refer to Albert as a ‘petit fleuriste’. Other iconic Van Cleef designs to originate in the Péry workshop include the Ludo bracelets, Zip necklaces and many of the La Boutique animal brooches. (From Hancock's with thanks).
Note: Pery et Fils was a very famous jewelry makers doing a lots of special orders and custom jobs for Van Cleef
Arpels, Fred, Boucheron And Chaumet. We are very confident this gorgeous suite was made for one of this big Parisian jewelry houses.
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 89 gemstones are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.

An amazing oversized cocktail ring, created in London England by the jewelry house of Garrard & Co. back in the late 20th century. This gorgeous ring was crafted with bold look in white gold of 18 karats and a round bezel in yellow gold that is holding a gorgeous natural blue star sapphire of twenty-nine carats. The ring is very heavy, massive, daring and one hundred and twenty-five grams of solid gold were used in its making.
Sapphire: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 round cabochon cut (16.1 x 16.2 x 12.5 mm) of a natural star sapphire of 29.12 carats. The sapphire is gem quality, display a great asterism, is from Burmese origin and is not heated.
Diamonds: Mount on the sides in flush settings, with 2 round brilliant cut diamonds, 1 carat, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity.
Birthstone: Sapphire for the month of September.
Weight: 125.20 Grams, (80.61 Dwt).
Size: 9.5 and may be easily sized on request.
Measurements: 34 mm by 14 mm (1.34 x 0.55 Inches) and raise 15 mm over the finger.
