Danish brutalist cocktail ring. Fabulous studio cocktail ring, created in Denmark back in the 1970's. This ring is very sculptural and was made up with Brutalism art parameters. It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with textured finish and embellished with three lapis lazuli and two earth mined colorless diamonds. Lapis Lazuli: Mount in channel settings, with 3 rectangular cabochon cut of natural Afghani lapis lazuli with an estimate of 3.90 carats. Diamonds: Mount in channel settings, with 2 tapered baguette cut diamonds, 0.16 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity Weight: 21.98 Grams, (14.09 Dwt). Size: 6.25 and may be easily sized on request. Measurements: 22 mm by 11 mm (0.87 x 0.44 Inches) and raise 21 mm over the finger Hallmarks: Unmarked, tested for 14 karats gold, .585/.999 Au. Brutalism This is an artistic style which emerged during the 1950's in the United Kingdom, among the reconstruction projects of the post-war era. Brutalist buildings and art pieces, such this are characterized by minimalist constructions that showcase the bare building materials and the structural construction over decorative design. The style commonly makes use of exposed, unpainted, unfinished surfaces with out smooth finishes. Angular, geometric shapes and a predominantly monochrome colour palette. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold.
