About the Item
This striking 18k yellow gold 1980's cocktail ring is bezel set, east to west, with one elongated, golden orange, hexagonal cut, natural sapphire*. Surrounding this vivid stone is a pave' plate set with twenty six round brilliant cut diamonds. The shoulders and shank are moderate bombe, and the entire ring has raised edges, contributing to it's stylish and distinctive appeal. The sapphire weighs 2.27ct and has a deep golden orange color with excellent clarity. The 26 diamonds weigh .16ct total of overall G/H color and VS2 clarity. The sizing spring inside the shank serves to keep the design area upright and allows for minor alterations to the ring size. Stamped onto the sizing spring is 750 (for 18k gold), 227 (for the weight of the golden orange sapphire), and 016 (for the total weight of the diamonds). Ring is size is 6 1/2. Gross weight 13.3 grams.
* This sapphire has been enhanced by heat treatment. Said color enhancement is permanent.
