About the Item
A vintage ruby, diamond, and yellow gold ring, comprising one round brilliant cut diamond, four small round cut diamonds, and eight square cut rubies, set in 18 karat yellow gold, to an 18 karat yellow gold band.
A striking ring, set with sparkling diamonds and cherry-red rubies. Set to the centre, within a square setting is a sparkling round brilliant cut diamond. This diamond is surrounded by 8 square cut rubies, creating a diamond shape, and a striking geometric design. To each shoulder are a pair of glittering diamonds, each set within a leaf shape, creating elegant foliate motifs, adding a softness to the design. The foliate shoulders lead a slender, plain, polished band of yellow gold. The ring is in good condition, with a couple of nicks to one side of the band, which don’t notice when worn. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the ring measures 13mm high, and 13mm wide. The band measures just under 1mm wide at the back.
