A certified and historically significant creation by the esteemed French atelier René Boivin, this bold bombe ring is masterfully crafted in 18K white gold and pavé-set with a sumptuous surface of brilliant-cut diamonds. Designed by Juliette Moutard—a pivotal figure in Boivin’s mid-century legacy—the ring dates from circa 1945–1950 and exemplifies the maison’s signature sculptural style.
This elegant “bague chevalière de dame” (gentlewoman’s signet ring), as referenced in the accompanying certificate, features approximately 4.00 carats of H-G color, VS clarity round brilliant diamonds, artistically arranged in a high-domed, mosaic-like layout. The ring’s voluminous silhouette and refined craftsmanship reflect Boivin’s post-war commitment to strong, expressive forms with feminine allure.
The piece is authenticated by Françoise Cailles, a leading authority on French jewelry and former president of the Syndicat Français des Experts Professionnels, and is documented with a signed and stamped certificate dated July 17, 2013, Paris.
