Handmadeو American, Old European Cut Diamonds, open culets showing, early American Platinum , circa 1890s, ring is in cluster bombay design, all Old European Cut Diamonds and Baguette cut Diamonds total of 1.5 Carat, American workmanship, no hallmarked, tested for Platinum.
Diamond most likely mined in Minas Gerais, Brezil. Crystal was probably cut and polished in New York, as New York was thriving Jewelry manufacturing center in late Victorian, Edwardian and Art deco eras. As end of second World War, jewelry making was the lucrative manufacturing business pursued by Europeans. Ring is aged correctly with coherent wear and tear. All diamonds is in good shape, with no external chips. Such chips and cracks would have happened in misuse. Ring was well taking care of.This beautiful Old European Cut Platinum diamond ring was purchased in our store here in Santa Monica, California.
