About the Item
This 1.19-carat cushion-cut salt-and-pepper diamond has a rose cut faceting, its flat base and domed top allowing you to look into the stone rather than just at it. The color moves between dark gray and near-black, with inclusions scattered through the body like sediment.
The band adds another layer of interest. A knife-edge profile runs along the 18k white gold, catching light along its ridge and giving the ring a sharper, more architectural feel. Four claw prongs secure the cushion at each corner, a traditional element that balances the modern line of the band.
At Ursula Rickmers Jewelry, we designed this ring to sit in two eras at once. The knife-edge has an Art Deco quality to it, while the rose cut dates back centuries. They work together here without contradiction.
The ring is handcrafted in our Istanbul atelier, steps from the Grand Bazaar, where jewelers have been refining their craft for centuries.
