About the Item
This 1.55-carat salt-and-pepper diamond is cut in a modified shield shape, an Art Deco silhouette that you rarely come across. The stone carries dark, stormy tones that deepen toward opaque black in places, with a small inclusion visible within the body of the diamond. Some might call it a flaw. We think of it as a marking that makes this stone identifiable as itself.
A row of pavé diamonds (0.11 carats total) runs along the band, their brighter sparkle playing off the moodier character of the salt-and-pepper diamond. The contrast is deliberate, letting each type of stone do what it does best.
