Early Victorian Era Rose cut Diamond Men Ring (1837-1860)
Antique Victorian Era Diamond Men’s Ring. Portuguese origin.
The 18K/19K yellow gold (touchstone tested) ring is centered with a rose cut center diamond between 0.85 - 0.95 ct., Portuguese origin, the lush floral and foliate motifs are very typical of the Portuguese Romantic era (1830 - 1880) often used in men's and women´s rings. As it is mounted and closed at the back it is not easy to establish its depth. in a pinched collect silver setting, surrounded by finely chased gold rococo style scrolls.
Estimated total diamond measures 7.3mmX6.3mm approx. (deep cannot be estimated due to the setting).
Width 14,8 mm (0.58 inches).
