About the Item
Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set with an octagonal scissor cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back double four claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.10 carats, flanked by four square step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by a row of ten round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to a geometric cluster with a fine scrolling openwork gallery and fancy backholing, the shoulders set with cheniers and leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1935. UK finger size M 1/2.
