1950s French Diamond and Yellow Gold Twist Solitaire Ring

A fine and impressive vintage 0.40 carat diamond and 18 karat yellow gold solitaire twist ring; part of our vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage diamond ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The twist shaped mount displays a 0.40Ct modern brilliant cut diamond, six claw set to the centre. The tapering, swept ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked 18k yellow gold ring shank. The interior of the shank features two stabalising balls; these allow the ring to pass over larger knuckles and sit securely on the finger, however they can be removed upon request. The ring shank is clearly hallmarked to the interior with the 18k fineness mark 0.750. This vintage diamond solitaire twist ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate. This impressive 1950s diamond engagement ring has been crafted in 18k white gold with a platinum setting. The 0.55 carat transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond is held in relief in an eight claw / prong, platinum, pierced decorated, elevated basket setting embellished with a fluted border. The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain 18k white gold hallmarked shank. The exterior of the shank is hallmarked with the French eagle's head and dog's head marks and some maker's marks that are rubbed. This 1950s diamond engagement ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate. Condition The 1950s diamond ring is fine quality set with a very high color graded, very high clarity graded diamond.
