About the Item
A stunning, fine and impressive antique 0.75 carat blue sapphire and 1.61 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and platinum set five stone ring; an addition to our sapphire and diamond rings collection.
The pierced decorated five stone setting displays an impressive feature round faceted cut 0.75 carat blue sapphire, claw-set to the centre of the design.
The sapphire is flanked on either side by two impressive claw-set Old European round cut diamonds, in a linear formation.
The tapering ring shoulders integrate with the setting and blend seamlessly with the hallmarked shank.
The interior of the ring shank is hallmarked with the 18k gold fineness mark (18CT) and the mark for platinum (PT).
This impressive 1930s sapphire and diamond ring in gold is supplied with four IDGL diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an IDGL gemstone grading report card for the sapphire.
Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
Condition
This antique ring is excellent quality, set with an impressive sapphire displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence; there is very minor surface wear to a few of the facets which are visible under the 10x magnification of a jeweller's loupe.
The impressive diamonds display a fine white colour, brilliance and presence.
The ring is an excellent gauge of gold and platinum, and in excellent condition with very clear hallmarks to the interior of the shank.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of five stone rings.
