About the Item
This antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940) and was dedicated with the date 6-11-37 on the inside of the band. The setting is 14K white gold and features a center diamond measuring approximately 0.80 carats. The center diamond is an Old European cut. The diamond grades approximately J in color and VS1 in clarity. The setting features 14 sparkling accent diamonds set in a classic halo style surrounding the center diamond. The antique setting features minimal filigree along with very subtle milgrain. The antique style prongs are precisely and beautifully squared. The inside of the band features a hand engraved dedication along with the date 6-11-37. In 1937 Amelia Earhart disappeared, the Hindenburg exploded over New Jersey, Walt Disney released Snow White, and The Golden Gate Bridge officially opened. This piece is currently a size 6.
