About the Item
We date this beautiful antique five stone old cut diamond ring to around the turn of the twentieth century, and it is absolute perfection.
Five old mine cut diamonds, which would have been individually cut by hand, have been carefully matched for this stunning carved half-hoop ring. The diamonds are of exquisite quality, and have been expertly claw set into the ring. We estimate that the stones weigh 1 carat in total. Beneath the diamonds sits a breathtaking carved gallery with scrolls, a signature design feature of the late Victorian era.
The band is stamped platinum on the inside and is currently sized to a UK 'L', US 5.75, but could be altered by a few sizes. This would be perfect as an engagement ring, or would work equally wonderfully as a right hand ring.
