About the Item
This stunning art deco ring is has three diamonds, vertically set and perfectly haloed by french cut rubies. The three diamonds have a combined weight of 1.95 carat, the top diamond is 0.80 carat, the centre stone 0.50 carat and the bottom diamond 0.65 carat. They are beautiful old cuts, which would have been hand cut. They are set in a rub over setting, which means encircled with metal. It's a secure setting! They are H-I in colour and have a clarity of VS2. The halo of french cut rubies are a wonderful pinkish red, and are cut to perfection. Tension set around the stones, they are crafted to fit the piece. To finish off this 1920s ring, there are small old cuts grain set within the shoulders of the band, totalling a weight of 0.08 carat. The shoulders and band is made of platinum, typical of the era. This ring is a lovely dress ring and the vertically set diamonds add lots of character!
