About the Item
An Art Deco emerald and diamond ring, the square-cut emerald estimated to weigh 1.7 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Colombian origin, vertically-set between two old European-cut diamonds each estimated to weigh approximately 1 carat and four smaller old-cut diamonds set on each side weighing approximately a further 1.2 carats, all mounted in platinum to D-section shank with diamond encrusted shoulders, head measuring 2x1.5cm, gross weight 5 grams, circa 1920. Finger size L
This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as platinum.
This spectacular Art Deco ring comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. Made in around 1920, this ring features a central emerald with a bright and lush colour. On the top and bottom of the emerald are two dazzling and impressive diamonds, which catch the light beautifully. Surrounding the emerald are further lively diamonds. The use of platinum, diamonds and emeralds is typical of jewellery from this period, and this stunning ring is a perfect example of Art Deco elegance and superb craftsmanship.
