Original from the Art Deco period, circa 1920's, mounted in platinum is a central east/west set marquise cut diamond that is absolutely stunning. Estimated to be 1.46ct, E-F colour, VS2 clarity it has all the beauty and charm of a diamond from this period. Diamonds of this colour and quality were hard to find in the 1920's so clearly it comes from an estate that had a keen eye for high standards. Surrounding the central diamond is a band of calibre cut fine green natural emeralds intersected on four sides with diamonds. Two baguette diamonds sit neatly at each end and there is a further wider halo of single cut diamonds - F colour VS - SI clarity. Even the shoulders of the ring are embellished with diamonds. To finish off this outstanding ring is hand engraved detail along the edges and down the shank. Total carat weight of the diamonds is estimated at 2.61cts. It looks perfect on its own or worn alongside a plain platinum band or a narrow diamond encrusted band Rings like this don't come along everyday and they can't be repeated. The handcrafted nature of these rings is nearly impossible to replicate, let alone finding old cut marquise diamonds with this colour and clarity.
