About the Item
Here we have a magnificent sapphire and diamond ring crafted at a time when the Art Deco style was at the height of design. An oval faceted sapphire possessing a rich indigo colour tone sits at the centre of the face in a rub-over setting. This principle stone is then ascended by a vast clustered backdrop of old cut diamonds; each of which has been individually milgrain set within fine filigree craftsmanship. This open design is consistent from the under-gallery through to either shoulder, with the piece being finished with an otherwise plain polished shank.
