About the Item
Colombian emerald and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with insignificant oil in an open back cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, encircled by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in closed back cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight 2.00 carats, to an ornate cluster design featuring polished borders and open and closed backholing, leading to ornate openwork shoulders with scalloped motifs and millegrain detail which taper through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1870, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5785-3902.
